Artist Statement

The work that I do is a great experience, it is fun to work with clay. Right now I don't have any goals or aspiration at this very moment. I just try to get my project created for the week. The main material I work with is clay, this reminds me of my childhood. Me and my brother Riley used to play with clay when we were younger. We would make a lot of little things, such as snake, bowls, etc. When I got older my mother would watch craft shows and i would sit and watch it with her. The shows would range from glass work to metal. All the shows would increase the love for art that I had developed.

I'll start out a project by thinking of what can I do to put my own twist to the projects I have at school. We have done multiple projects already where I've added my own twists. The shows that me and my mother used to watch had influenced me greatly. I've always wanted to create pottery. A few years back my parents got me a clay wheel from one of their friends. I wanted to use it right a way but my parents refused until I knew how to use it safely.

The fall backs

These didn't quite make the cut

Breaking the chains of corruption

This project is to show what the world needs. What mine is showing is the need to break the chains of corruption that binds us to this world. These cuffs will show the types of corruption that holds us back from becoming who we are.

Klemt's art is easy to understand. His drawings depict what people thing of when they think of home. When I see this I start to think of all the places I've called home in the past four years. These drawing are some of the coolest I've seen in a long time. If you get a chance to check out some of his work.

Jean Cappadonna Nichols is a pretty good artist. She shows what some people don't see in real life, in her artwork.
In this picture Jean shows the press behind some one who might be in power. This reminds me of how the press is now they back certain people but, they also talk behind their backs. Jean  has some other interesting artwork. they all show some sort of corruption that is in this modern world.
